About Us
Hi! I'm Paige and I am the sole owner and Head Trainer of 896 Dog Training. I have been working as a credentialed professional since 2021, and continue my education through current seminars and courses backed by the most up to date, evidence based methodology. I am certified as a Fear Free Certified Professional (FFCP), and obtain a current Canine First Aid certificate. Education is powerful, and critical in this unregulated industry! I am committed to investing in continued learning. I currently also hold a professional certification with the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CPDT-KA), but have chosen to not be represented by this organization anymore due to their latest policy updates that allow the use of aversive tools (shock collars, prong collars) to be used by their professionals. I am and always will be an ethical and humane trainer who prioritizes the wellbeing of my clients, both human and dog.
In 2020 I adopted Bennett who was around 6 months old, who started displaying behaviours I did not know how to work with. Seeking training help, I found myself immersed in the dog world and realizing this passion that would become my career. Bennett is the reason this is my profession, why I am passionate about fear free training, and the one who gives me a soft spot for the misunderstood, sensitive dogs.

At 896 Dog Training, my goal is to work along side dog guardians providing ethical, positive reinforcement based training, support, and guidance. I aim to create an empathetic and judgement free zone, where we work as a team to work towards your training goals!
